Prevention of Major Damage to the State
The National Security Service of Armenia's Armavir regional department has gathered substantial evidence through systematic operational and investigative work. It has been revealed that the director of a company engaged in entrepreneurial activities violated various legal acts concerning the use of land and mineral resources. Between June and October 2021, he illegally extracted approximately 100,000 cubic meters of gravel-sand mix in the territory of the Aravik community in the Armavir region, without the necessary licenses and documents for resource extraction.
As a result of this illegal entrepreneurial activity, no taxes or mandatory payments in the significant amount of 152,560,000 AMD were paid to the state. A criminal case has been initiated in accordance with relevant articles of the Armenian Criminal Code by the investigative department of the National Security Service, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing.
The National Security bodies are intensively working to uncover a variety of illicit activities that undermine the economic foundations of the state, prevent their further escalation, and neutralize threats to economic security.
