Families of Fallen and Missing Soldiers Meet with Ara Fidanyan
A group of relatives of soldiers who were killed or went missing during the 44-day Artsakh war held a protest outside the government building where they met with Ara Fidanyan, the Deputy Chief of Police of Armenia.
According to Armenpress, they are demanding a meeting with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. One of the relatives stated in a conversation with journalists that they are seeking to meet with the Deputy Chief of Police to understand whether the police can intervene to ensure that a meeting with the Prime Minister occurs.
He also indicated that they are requesting a meeting within 1 to 10 days, respecting the Prime Minister's duties and recognizing that he has a busy work schedule.
Earlier, the relatives of fallen and missing soldiers had blocked Tigran Mets Avenue while demanding a meeting with the Prime Minister. The police carried out an operation to clear the street, but it was reopened only after an agreement was reached to meet with Deputy Chief of Police Ara Fidanyan.
