Concern Grows: 677,032 Vaccinations Conducted in Armenia, 466,785 as First Dose
Concern is growing over the low vaccination rates in our country, and it is even more worrisome that we are not fully aware of the disastrous consequences of this fact. This was stated by Armen Muradyan, the rector of Yerevan State Medical University, on his Facebook page.
"It is concerning that our country has such a low vaccination rate, and even more worrying that we are not conscious of the disastrous consequences of this fact... Since the start of COVID-19 vaccinations on April 13 until October 24, a total of 677,032 vaccinations have been administered in Armenia (a 24% increase compared to the figures from October 17, 2021), out of which 466,785 received the first dose (a 25% increase from October 17, 2021), and 210,245 received the second dose (a 23.3% increase from October 17, 2021), which accounts for 7.1% of the population.
From October 17 to October 24, 88,674 vaccinations were carried out, with an average daily rate of about 12,664. During this period, 71% of those vaccinated received the first dose, while 29% received the second dose," wrote Muradyan.
