Azerbaijani Forces Fire Towards Artsakh's Sargsashen Community

The Azerbaijani side has opened fire today towards the Sargsashen community of Artsakh. In an interview with Sputnik Armenia, Martuni Mayor Edik Avanesyan noted that the gunfire was not directed at residential areas. “There were two shots, and they were far off. It was not targeted fire,” said Avanesyan. He added that no damage was inflicted on the community as a result of the gunfire.

It is worth mentioning that on October 14, Azerbaijani armed forces launched an attack towards the Norkashen village in the Martuni region of Artsakh. Tensions have also been noted in the South village of the Askeran region. There were six injuries reported on the Armenian side. Russian peacekeepers have taken measures on the ground to stabilize the situation.
