Argument in Charbakh Ends in Murder; Father and Two Sons Arrested

On November 1, at 2:10 AM, the operational management center informed the Shengavit police department that gunfire had been heard on Karmir Blur Street, and there was a victim. A call was also received from the "Holy Mother of God" medical center stating that a man's body had been transported to the hospital, as reported by the police website.

It soon became known that the deceased on the way to the hospital was 41-year-old Khachatur Sahakyan, a resident of Charbakh, who had suffered life-threatening gunshot wounds. The operational groups of the Shengavit police and the Charbakh division, along with forensic experts and investigators, discovered blood-like traces, cartridges, and other evidence in the yard of house number 43 on Karmir Blur Street.

Officers from the Shengavit police department and the Charbakh division, in cooperation with criminal investigation officers from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Security Service, found out the following:

According to preliminary data, there had been a dispute between the deceased, a 42-year-old man, and his two sons, aged 20 and 22, during which the 20-year-old fired shots at Khachatur Sahakyan.

The man and his sons were not at home. Operational data indicated that they had gone to the Syunik region. In cooperation with Goris police officers, they were located on the Sisian-Goris road and were detained and brought to the Shengavit police department, then presented to the territorial investigative body for questioning. The 20-year-old provided a confession.

They have been arrested. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case and measures to discover the firearm used in the crime are ongoing.
