Another Tragic Car Accident on the Deadly Section of the Yerevan-Gyumri Highway: Lexus Crashes into Concrete Barriers and Rolls Several Times
On October 31, another tragic car accident occurred on the well-known deadly 50 km section of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. According to Shamshyan.com, around 20:10, a Lexus vehicle, under yet unknown circumstances, veered off the roadway, collided with concrete barriers, and rolled over several times.
As a result of the accident, one person died at the scene. The police and investigative department are working to identify the deceased woman and ascertain whether she was the driver.
Later, it was reported by a photojournalist that police and investigators determined that the vehicle was driven by 44-year-old Armine Gabrielyan, a resident of Gyumri, who died at the scene.
Earlier, on October 20, a passenger Gazelle vehicle had also veered off the roadway while heading towards Yerevan on the 50 km section of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, crashing into rocks and the concrete barriers placed on the newly under-construction North-South road, rolling over several times and ending up off the roadway. As a result of that accident, five people died at the scene, and twelve others were transferred with varying degrees of injuries to medical centers, some to Talin and others to Ashtarak hospitals.
