Burglary at a Phone Store: One Person Arrested
On October 28, 2021, during the period from 05:30 to 06:30, a group of individuals, with the intent to secretly steal someone else's property, unlawfully entered a store located on Komitas Street in Yerevan by breaking a window and subsequently opening a grate. From the store, they stole various types of mobile phones, tablets, laptops, watches, headphones, and made off with money from the cash register.
According to the press office of the Investigation Committee of the Republic of Armenia, police officers serving in the same area noticed the group, and during their escape, one of them was caught and taken into custody. Measures were taken to ascertain the identity of the individual, who was identified as a resident of Yerevan born in 1990.
A criminal case was initiated on the same day at the Arabkir Investigative Division of the Yerevan Investigative Administration under Article 177, Part 2, Points 1 and 3 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia. The 31-year-old man has been arrested. The preliminary investigation continues, and efforts are being made to identify and apprehend the other individuals suspected of committing the alleged crime.
