When 211 New Buses Will Be Introduced to the Transport Network: Mayor Marutyan

“I cannot provide specific timelines for when the 211 new buses will be introduced to the transport network, as it depends on neither myself nor the city hall,” stated Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan during today’s city council meeting.

He noted that 4-5 buses were damaged during transportation and need to be repaired before the acceptance and handover process can be completed. “I have issued a clear order to ensure that all procedures are finalized,” said Marutyan.

According to him, drivers are currently undergoing retraining.

Marutyan also addressed the issue of implementing a card payment system for public transportation, indicating that this system will be launched in 2-3 months.
