Ministry of Defense Addresses Outbreak of Respiratory Diseases in Military Units and Vaccination Process
Information has been circulating on the internet and in the press regarding the outbreak of acute respiratory viral diseases among military personnel, particularly among those stationed at the borders. Some have inquired about the lack of COVID-19 and seasonal flu vaccinations in the army.
Auroranews contacted the Ministry of Defense, where it was stated that there is no active trend of seasonal flu and other acute respiratory infections within the armed forces. Regarding vaccination, officials confirmed that vaccinations against the coronavirus pandemic are being conducted in the army and that the vaccination process is ongoing intensively.
Furthermore, the Ministry stated that vaccination rates in the armed forces are higher than those in the civilian community.
