Attempted Self-Immolation Near Government Building

On October 22 at 12:15 PM, officers from the Special Forces Unit of the Yerevan Police Department apprehended Armen Mkrtchyan near the Government building on suspicion of attempting suicide. Mkrtchyan, a resident of the Armavir region, is currently unemployed, according to Armlur.am.

It was later revealed that Mkrtchyan attempted to set himself on fire near the government building due to personal issues. Police are preparing documentation regarding the incident.
