Angela Merkel Officially Steps Down as Chancellor of Germany
The President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, has officially notified Angela Merkel of the end of her term as Chancellor. This was reported by Lenta.ru.
With this, Angela Merkel has ceased to hold office as Chancellor of Germany. She will serve as the acting Chancellor until her successor is elected.
It is worth recalling that Angela Merkel has held the position of Chancellor of Germany for 15 years.
