Lawsuit Filed Against the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health: Ara Zohrabyan
Former President of the Chamber of Advocates Ara Zohrabyan has written on his Facebook page: "I have submitted over 10 inquiries to the Ministry of Health. Some of the responses to the inquiries were 'unsatisfactory'. I will address this later. Notably, on October 13, 2021 (registered by the Ministry on October 14, 2021), I received a response from Vahe Hakobyan, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Health, on October 20, 2021. The Ministry of Health indicated that additional time is needed to provide the requested information, thus stating that due to current workloads, the information cannot be presented. They do not mention that additional research is required, and then we will provide an 'unsatisfactory' response. Instead, they directly and 'honestly' say that they are overloaded and will not be answering your questions.
According to Article 23 of the regulations of the Ministry of Health, the Secretary General is responsible for the organizational implementation of the Ministry's powers and personnel management.
According to the first part of Article 1897 of the Administrative Violations Code, the unlawful non-provision of information prescribed by law by officials of state bodies results in a fine set from ten to fifty times the minimum wage.
Today, I have filed a lawsuit in the administrative court demanding the holding of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health administratively accountable."
