Entry of the Unvaccinated into Russia to be Prohibited

According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", a difficult moment seems to be approaching for our compatriots reluctant to get vaccinated against the coronavirus. Thousands of people will not be able to travel from Armenia to Russia without a certificate confirming they have been vaccinated.

Yesterday, sources in the healthcare sector provided this analysis and viewpoint. As evidence, it was noted that Russia is currently in a week-long 'lockdown', while Moscow is entering a four-month special regime. This situation is due to the escalating spread of the coronavirus and the increasing number of reported deaths.

For clarification, it is important to state that this is not about testing and proving the absence of the Covid virus; rather, it concerns being vaccinated. We were also informed that one of the ongoing issues relates to the conflict over vaccines between Russia and the European Union, and that Russia accepts individuals vaccinated with its own vaccines, while EU member states do not recognize vaccination with Russian-produced vaccines as a final resolution to the matter.

If such a situation is implemented, our healthcare system could face a serious problem, as thousands of people will flock to get vaccinated, leading to massive queues. Since working in Russia remains the main, if not the only, means of livelihood for thousands of our compatriots, such restrictions could result in significant social upheaval. Perhaps citizens are left with no choice but to get vaccinated; otherwise, even earning money for daily bread through menial labor could become impossible.
