Investigative Committee to Examine Violations During Court Trials

An investigative committee will be established in the National Assembly to examine violations that obstruct fair trials in courts. According to Vice President of the National Assembly Ruben Rubinyan, the committee will be formed upon the request of at least one third of the parliament members.

The purpose of the committee's work will be to investigate facts that hinder fair trials resulting from violations of the established procedure for distributing cases in courts, as well as the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against judges by the Minister of Justice.

A draft decision determining the number of committee members will be discussed in the National Assembly session starting on October 26. The proposal has been authored by deputies from the 'Hayastan' and 'Hay...v' factions.
