Relatives Turn to Muradov to Bring Back Captive Brother

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the relatives of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan have essentially lost hope in the Armenian authorities. They are seeking ways to connect with the former commander of the Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh, Rustam Muradov, in hopes of retrieving their loved ones. Specifically, we have obtained a letter from one of the public servants addressed to Boris Avagyan, a person considered close to Muradov in Armenia, in which the citizen requests assistance in reaching out to Muradov to help bring back their relative, expressing a willingness to do everything necessary.

The citizen saw a video on one of the Azerbaijani Telegram channels in which they recognized their brother and are convinced that he has been captured. However, they have been unable to receive clear information from any state body regarding whether their brother is indeed a captive or not. It is worth mentioning that the authorities have not published how many individuals are currently held captive in Azerbaijan, stating that disclosing this information would hinder their return. Nevertheless, a significant number of returned prisoners have been brought back by Russian peacekeepers and personally by Muradov, or through mediation from the authorities of Georgia. Yet even in that case, in exchange for the return of 15 individuals, Nikol Pashinyan handed over maps of mined areas to Azerbaijan.

It should be recalled that according to the agreements of November 9, Azerbaijan was supposed to return all Armenian prisoners of war. However, illegal sentences have been issued for some of them, resulting in various terms of imprisonment. In fact, even public servants have lost hope in the authorities, let alone ordinary villagers from Shirak region expecting any help.
