Major Car Accident in Kotayk Region: 30-Year-Old Driver Crashes Toyota into Sand-Filled ZIL

Today, on October 22, a major car accident occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 12:15 PM, on the 33.5 km section of the Yerevan-Sevan highway, a collision took place between a Toyota Camry driven by 30-year-old Arman Vanyan, a resident of Ejmiatsin, and a ZIL truck loaded with sand, driven by 36-year-old Aram Poghosyan from the village of Mrgavet in Lori province.

According to shamshyan.com from the scene, as a result of the accident, a passenger in the Toyota, 25-year-old Rafael Ghukasyan, was extricated from the vehicle by the emergency responders of the Ministry of Emergency Situations who arrived on the scene promptly using specialized equipment. He was then transported to the “Astghik” Medical Center under the escort of Captain Arthur Petrosyan from the 3rd Battalion of the 2nd Police Unit.
