Garik Sargsyan Will Face the Same Fate: 'Hraparak'
Hraparak reports that the defeat in the October 17 elections has frightened the authorities, prompting them to revise their strategy and candidates. For instance, the ruling party's branch in Ararat is confident that crocodile expert Garik Sargsyan will face the same fate as Abunts in Goris, and they are suggesting abandoning his candidacy, although finding a new person in such a short time is difficult.
In contrast, they are confident that the candidate from Artashat is a good choice—Robert Mkrtchyan, the head of the ruling party's regional structure. They have no doubt that they will win in Jermuk, where the acting mayor is Vahagn Arsenyan, the son of Ashot Arsenyan.
It is also worth mentioning that elections will take place in Ashtarak, Ararat, Martuni, Sevan, Armavir, Vayots Dzor, and elsewhere in December.
