US Will Not Attend Afghanistan Meeting in Moscow: State Department

The US State Department has announced that the country will not participate in the Moscow meeting concerning Afghanistan. Interfax reports this.

According to State Department spokesman Ned Price, the US is currently "not in a position" to attend such a meeting. He added that this is due to "logistical challenges" for Washington.

At the same time, the department representative noted that discussions in this format, involving Russia, China, the US, and Pakistan, are seen as "effective and constructive," and the US is open to participating in such forums in the future.
