VIDEO: 36-Year-Old Woman Robs Pharmacies with a Knife
On October 14, two cases of robbery were reported in the city of Armavir. In both instances, pharmacies located on Shahumyan Street were targeted. This information was provided by the Police of Armenia.
The first report was received around 6:30 PM, while the second was at 8:05 PM. The modus operandi was the same in both cases: a woman wearing a medical mask threatened with a knife and stole cash—159,000 dram from the first pharmacy and 57,000 dram from the second.
Upon arriving at the crime scenes, officers from the Armavir division of the police immediately determined that the perpetrator was the same in both instances. In response to the criminal cases initiated, criminal investigators from Armavir undertook a series of operational measures in collaboration with the regional administration of Armavir and the 1st platoon of the 2nd traffic police battalion serving the area.
Through joint efforts, they quickly identified the suspect: a 36-year-old woman residing in the village of Mayisyan in Armavir province. She was located in her village the following day and taken in for questioning by the police of Armavir, subsequently presented to the territorial investigative body and arrested.
Efforts are being made to recover the stolen goods and the knife used in the crime. The investigation is ongoing.
