Thousands of residents in the southern Mexican state of Nayarit have been affected by the consequences of Storm Pamala, a Category 1 hurricane. According to Governor Miguel Ángel Navarro Quintero, "After the storm, it has been recorded that 2,500 families, totaling 9,106 people, have suffered material damage," the statement said.
