Ukrainian Diplomat Found Dead in His Summer Villa
A Ukrainian diplomat was found dead in his summer villa in Kyiv. The information was reported by tsn.ua. "A mysterious death of a diplomat has occurred in Kyiv. The man's body was discovered on the morning of October 16 at his Osokorky summer villa. Initially, it was suggested that the case involved murder, as there were signs of violent death. However, the police later provided an official report stating that an unfortunate incident had taken place," the website writes.
The homeowner's body was discovered by a housekeeper who arrived to clean the house. "The Foreign Ministry has not indicated who the individual is. The police are also avoiding questions on this matter. Law enforcement officials do not wish to comment on reports circulating online about signs of violent death involving the diplomat," the site states.
The police believe that the man may have fallen from the stairs. "We have established that the man fell down the stairs of his own home, where he lived alone. He then made his way to a room on the second floor, where the housekeeper later discovered him without any signs of life," quotes Anna Zubareva from the press service of the capital's police.
A forensic examination concluded that the cause of death was a closed cranial trauma. A criminal case has been initiated under the article 'Intentional Murder' marked as 'Unfortunate Incident'. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
