Alexander Gintsburg, the director of the Gamaleya Center, stated that their specialists have begun preclinical studies of special vaccines that may provide protection against multiple different viruses or several variants of a single virus. Gintsburg shared this information with TASS.

“We are talking about a vaccine that we have now started testing on monkeys. The essence of this technology is that you can immediately protect a person from various circulating viruses. For example, such an approach may combine different antigens of the flu and coronavirus,” he said.
