More than 70,000 More Citizens Departed by Air from Armenia Than Arrived in 9 Months

In September 2021, the passenger traffic at the "Zvartnots" International Airport reached 274,637 people, with 132,206 arrivals and 142,431 departures. Meanwhile, the "Shirak" Airport recorded a total of 6,633 passengers, including 3,215 arrivals and 3,418 departures.

In January, the number of arrivals (considering data from both airports) was 31,052, while the number of departing passengers was 33,244. In February, these figures were 31,901 and 58,297, respectively. In March 2021, there were 42,283 arrivals and 74,198 departures, and in April, 58,978 arrived while 75,152 departed.

In May 2021, the number of citizens arriving by air reached 82,513, with 83,840 departures. June saw 109,225 arrivals and 91,309 departures, while in July, 158,999 citizens arrived, and 141,952 departed. In August, the number of arrivals was 164,864, and departures totaled 185,901.

Overall, during the 9 months of 2021, there were 815,236 arrivals and 889,742 departures by air. This indicates that the total number of citizens who departed by air was 74,506 more than the number of arrivals.
