The Situation is Stable, Enemy Movements Are Visible to Us, Any Provocation Will Be Suppressed: Soldiers
After the defeat in the 44-day war, we should not be discouraged; those who say that the soldiers no longer have high fighting spirit are mistaken. The enemy movements are visible to us, and any provocation will be silenced. This was stated by the soldiers on duty at one of the positions in the eastern part of the Armenian border during a conversation with Tert.am.
"The situation is stable at the moment; there have been no recorded ceasefire violations in the last 5-6 days. Sometimes, there is gunfire from the air," detailed Captain Gurgen Hambartsumyan.
According to Colonel Hayk Petrosyan, the deputy commander of the 2nd Army Corps of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, the enemy remains unchanged. "The Second Army Corps is ready to carry out all the tasks set before it. This has been proven during the 44-day war and continues to be true now. The corps is capable of neutralizing any provocations from the enemy," he assured.
The colonel also reminded that the border line has changed as a result of the 44-day war. The corps has taken up a new position. "New positions are being equipped, and the everyday problems of the servicemen are being addressed. Stone houses are being constructed, and roads and communication lines are being secured. Preparations for winter are almost complete," he stated.
