Lilit T.
The radical Taliban movement has promised to soon allow girls in Afghanistan to attend secondary schools. According to the Associated Press, this was announced by UNICEF Deputy Executive Director Omar Abdin during a press briefing at the UN headquarters after his visit to Kabul last week, as reported by TASS.
Abdin also noted that five of Afghanistan's 34 provinces—Balkh, Jawzjan, Samangan, Kunduz, and Urozgan—have already permitted girls to attend secondary school.
