Silence Day Ahead of Elections

On October 17, local government elections will be held in 9 communities across 6 regions of the republic. According to the law, today is a silence day.

The elections for community councils will take place in the communities of Shirak, Syunik, and Tavush provinces. According to the Central Electoral Commission, 17 political parties and party alliances are participating in the elections.

The electoral competition is expected to be fierce in Gyumri, where there are 10 registered political entities. A pre-election debate was held yesterday, featuring candidates participating in the Gyumri elections.

It should be noted that local elections will also take place on November 14.
