Murder in Tavush Province: Body and Vehicle Found in the Forest

At approximately 09:40, the Emergency Situations Ministry’s rescue service received a call indicating that there was a male body in a brook in the inter-regional area between the Tavush-Paravakar settlements, specifically in the forested territory of Vazashen village.
Rescue workers retrieved the body of 65-year-old Khachatur Suluyan, a resident of Aygedzor village in Tavush Province. According to the preliminary conclusion of the forensic expert, there are traces of a sharp cutting-piercing object on the deceased’s body, which has led to the initiation of a criminal case by the Berd Investigative Division under Article 104, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.
According to G. Shamshyan’s information, yesterday, on October 15, an 86-year-old resident of Aygedzor village, Sarkis Suluyan, reported to the Berd police department that his brother, Kh. Suluyan, left his home on October 13 at approximately 17:00 in his VAZ 2106 vehicle and has not returned since. About 200 meters away from the site of the body’s discovery, the VAZ 2106 was found and, by the investigator's directive, was transferred to the secured area of the Berd police department.
The police and investigative department are undertaking necessary operational-investigative and joint action measures to uncover the crime, establish the identity of the perpetrator, and locate him.
