Control to Prevent Issuance of Fake Vaccination Certificates: Anahit Avanesyan
The Minister of Health of Armenia, Anahit Avanesyan, assured that all medical centers in Armenia are properly monitored to prevent the issuance of fake vaccination certificates.
According to a report from Armenpress, the Minister stated this during a press conference on October 16. She emphasized that investigations are being conducted not only at one medical center but across the entire republic. Monitoring has been implemented at all medical centers, and law enforcement agencies are keeping a close eye on the process. It is vital to identify and prevent such illegal activities in a timely manner, as these actions can be harmful.
A citizen who obtains a fake vaccination certificate could later contract a virus, distorting the overall statistics, Avanesyan stressed.
Addressing the fact that a citizen can refrain from vaccination for 90 days after contracting COVID-19, she noted that there are cases where individuals become infected, receive treatment, but still test positive for one or two months after recovery. According to the Minister, this means that remnants of RNA are still present in the body, making it impossible to determine if the positive result is genuine or if the consequences of the illness persist.
“Therefore, the professional advisory group has decided that a PCR test result is not necessary within three months of infection. However, this does not mean that a person should wait for three months. They can be vaccinated 14 days after the symptoms have disappeared,” informed the Minister.
