Which Directions Did the Azerbaijani Attacks Take Place? Details from Tatoyan
The Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, reports that yesterday's attack was directed towards the Norashen community in Artsakh, which is closest to the positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces.
“There were also attacks towards the south of Artsakh and several other civilian settlements. Azerbaijani armed personnel (whether military, border guards, or other military forces) are committing similar criminal infringements against the border communities of Armenia as well. In both cases, there is a deliberate violation of the rights to life and security of peaceful residents, disrupting the normal lives of people, their ability to earn family income, free movement on the roads, and so on. Moreover, not only gunfire is occurring, but also thefts, deliberate destruction of people's property, hindrances to agricultural work, and more,” said the Human Rights Defender.
Tatoyan noted that in both Armenia and Artsakh, servicemen directly protect the rights and security of our peaceful residents, their right to live peacefully, to own property, to earn family income, and other vital rights. “In both cases, the basis for these criminal infringements and gross violations of people's rights stems from the hatred and enmity fostered by the Azerbaijani authorities, ethnic cleansing, and genocidal policies. This policy has institutional foundations, and under such conditions, the mentioned violations will not cease, and complete security will not be ensured,” emphasized the Human Rights Defender of Armenia.
