Armenian Foreign Ministry Issues Statement

The Armenian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the gross violation of the ceasefire regime established by the trilateral statement of November 9 by the Azerbaijani armed forces on October 14, which resulted in the injury of six servicemen of the Artsakh Defense Army near the village of Norashen.

In the statement, it was also mentioned: “The Azerbaijani side continued to violate the ceasefire today, October 15, by shelling the sanitation vehicle of the Defense Army in the northeastern direction of Artsakh. We note that this is the second serious incident of ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani side within a week, resulting in casualties among both civilians and military personnel.”

It is reminded that on October 9, a civilian, Aram Tepsan, was killed by snipers while carrying out agricultural work near the city of Martakert in Artsakh; the Armenian Foreign Ministry's statement explicitly stated the necessity to properly investigate this crime and hold those responsible accountable.

We emphasize the importance of the necessary steps being taken through the mediation of the Russian peacekeeping forces to ensure the unconditional adherence to the ceasefire regime and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
