Yekaterinburg, Russia has been enveloped in fog, but this is not due to natural interactions between warm and cold air currents; rather, it is the smoke from burning peat. For the fourth consecutive day, residents of the Solnechny micro-district in Yekaterinburg have been suffocating due to the smoke from smoldering peat. The situation worsened overnight with fog and zero visibility. The Yekaterinburg Emergency Situations Ministry is taking measures, but so far, they have been in vain.
