Video: Lavrov Meets with Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers - What Was Discussed
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has held meetings with his Armenian and Azerbaijani counterparts, suggesting the need to discuss bilateral issues and regional matters.
“It is good that there is an opportunity to communicate within the framework of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council, to discuss our bilateral affairs and regional issues. Our country leaders have recently communicated via phone; there are questions that need to be resolved,” said Russia’s foreign minister during a meeting in Minsk with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
Lavrov then met with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan. “We recently had a detailed conversation in Moscow, but today we can consider some additional issues of both bilateral and regional nature. Nagorno-Karabakh should always deserve our attention,” stated the Russian minister at the beginning of the meeting.
