Who is Armenia's New Ambassador to Iran?
The presidential decree on the appointment of the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran has been issued.
"Based on the proposal of the Prime Minister, in accordance with Article 132, Part 1, Clause 2 of the Constitution, as well as Article 14, Part 1 of the Law on Diplomatic Service, Arsene Avagyan is appointed as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Islamic Republic of Iran (residing in Tehran)."
Prior to this, Arsene Avagyan held the position of head of the Department for Neighboring Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
As we mentioned earlier, the ambassador of Armenia to Iran was recalled.
