Video: Young Woman Steals Large Amount of Gold from Neighbor

On October 10, the police department in Stepanavan received a report from the operational management center that a burglary had occurred in an apartment on Baghramyan Street in Stepanavan.

An operational group dispatched to the scene clarified that between October 8 and 10, someone had entered the apartment under yet-to-be-determined circumstances and stolen 39 pieces of gold from under the mattress. An expert examined the door lock and found that neither the door nor the lock had been damaged.

The apartment was located on the 5th floor, making it impossible for someone to enter through the window. The thief had either opened the door with a spare key or had managed to possess a key. This theory became more likely when law enforcement officials established that days earlier, the homeowner had lost their keys. According to the homeowner, they had left the keys on the door, only to later find them missing.

Operational-search measures were initiated. By combining the facts and information obtained at the scene, the identity of the burglar was soon revealed. Criminal investigators found that on October 8, around 4 PM, taking advantage of the homeowners' absence, the 39-year-old neighbor of the victim had opened the front door with the stolen key and stolen the gold jewelry.

She was taken to the Stepanavan police department. It was revealed that the same method had been used to steal money from the same apartment a week prior. The stolen gold jewelry has been recovered.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. The 39-year-old woman has been presented to the Stepanavan investigative department. The investigation is ongoing.
