Inmate Dies at Vanadzor Prison

On October 11, around 20:45, an inmate of the Vanadzor penitentiary facility of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, A. G., born in 1981, was in critical health condition. An ambulance was called and he was transferred to the Vanadzor medical center. On the same day, at 21:50, the biological death of the inmate was registered in the hospital.

A. G. had several chronic illnesses and had been under the supervision of doctors in the medical unit of the Vanadzor penitentiary for an extended period of time. The penitentiary service reported that materials are being prepared regarding the incident, and a forensic examination has been commissioned.
