On October 11, at 00:10 AM, a collapse occurred in the Yerevan neighborhood known as "Independent Mile," resulting in a 9-year-old boy being trapped under the debris. The boy was a student at Monty Melkonyan High School No. 11.

The school’s Facebook page expressed condolences to the boy’s family and loved ones: "The management, teaching staff, and students of Monty Melkonyan High School No. 11 express their sorrow over the untimely death of our student Edward Yengoyan.
