Body of 37-Year-Old Man Found Semi-Naked with Injuries to Face and Head
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a criminal case has been initiated on charges of murder in the investigation department of the Lori Regional Investigative Committee in Spitak. As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the case was opened regarding the death of 37-year-old Hrachik Hakobyan, who had been reported missing since October 8 of this year.
On October 9, around 10:30 AM, officers from the Spitak Police Department discovered H. Hakobyan's body lying semi-naked and face down near a bridge adjacent to 45 Sayat-Nova Street in Spitak, at the edge of the “Chichkhan” river.
The forensic expert, after examining the body on site, reported that there were bodily injuries on the face and head. The police chief of Lori province, the head of the Spitak Police Department, and the chief of the Spitak investigative department arrived at the scene. A forensic examination of the body has been ordered by the investigator.
According to G. Shamshyan, Hrachik’s sister, Anush Hakobyan, had reported his disappearance to the Spitak Police Department, stating that her brother, who lived on Sayat Nova Street in Spitak, left their home around 7:30 PM on October 6 and has not returned since, and they have no information on his whereabouts.
