Shooting Lasted for 1 Hour, Says Village Head from South
It is relatively calm today, and we have not heard the sounds of gunfire. This was stated by the village head of the village of Harav, Andranik Ghazaryan, in an interview with LURER.com. He indicated that the shooting that took place yesterday lasted about 1 hour, and it only stopped when Russian peacekeepers ascended to the positions. He noted, 'It stopped when the Russian peacekeepers came up to our guys. They stayed there for 15-20 minutes and then came down.'
He stated that although the gunshots were clearly audible throughout the village, there was no panic among the people. 'The sounds were clearly audible because the distance from the civilian population to the enemy positions is only 2 km. The Azerbaijanis are stationed on the mountain opposite the village, and our guys are on the same line,' emphasized Andranik Ghazaryan.
It should be noted that on the evening of October 14, Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire towards the combat post of the Defense Army located on the eastern border of the Republic of Artsakh, resulting in six servicemen receiving gunshot wounds. Following the incidents in the border zone, the operational-tactical situation is currently calm, and the Armenian side has not suffered any positional or territorial losses.
