When one analyzes this in the context of various military exercises of special forces units in Nakhichevan, different regions of Azerbaijan, and the occupied territories of Artsakh, the situational comparison becomes more realistic.
Particularly after 2010, after completing their training phase, Azerbaijani special operations units and the sniper groups operating within them have been conducting evaluations along the borders with Armenia or Artsakh. During those periods, the volume of provocations of various natures at the border sharply increased. Their goal was singular: to inflict material or human losses on the Armenian side.
