Video: Brawl in Noratus; One Person Admitted with Gunshot Wound to Gavar Medical Center
On October 6, at 10:25 PM, a report was received at the Gavar Police Department from the Gavar Medical Center that an injured citizen had been admitted. This information was provided by the Police.
The police operational group that arrived at the hospital identified the man in need of medical assistance as a 43-year-old resident of Noratus. According to preliminary data, he was transferred to the medical center with gunshot wounds from Noratus.
Thanks to the immediate measures taken by officers of the Gegharkunik regional division and the Gavar department, the crime was solved in a short time. It was established that on October 6, around 8 PM, the injured man, his 39-year-old brother, and another 39-year-old resident of the same village had argued in the area referred to as “Kai Dik” in Noratus, which escalated into a brawl. During the altercation, the 39-year-old man fired a shot from his smoothbore hunting rifle, resulting in injuries to the brothers. One brother was admitted to the hospital, while the other did not seek medical assistance.
As a result of explanatory work by the police, the individual who fired the shot came to the police station, bringing the smoothbore hunting rifle with him. He provided his explanations regarding the incident. Both parties have reported the crime. A number of expert examinations have been ordered. All circumstances of the case are being clarified. An investigation is underway.
