Man in Moscow Helps Friend Escape from Airport Before Deportation to Armenia

A man in Moscow is under investigation for assaulting a police officer near Vnukovo Airport to help his friend avoid deportation to Armenia. Yulia Ivanova, an assistant to the head of the Moscow branch of the Russian Investigative Committee, disclosed this information during a conversation with reporters.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that a foreign national, who had been taken to Vnukovo for deportation, attempted to flee. The man was aided by an accomplice who struck a police officer trying to intervene.

Ivanova added that the arrested individual has admitted his guilt and expressed remorse, and charges have been filed against him.
