24-Year-Old Driver Hits 75-Year-Old Pedestrian with Opel

On October 6, a traffic accident occurred in the Lori Province. At approximately 11:30 AM, a 24-year-old driver, Arayik K., was involved in a collision with a pedestrian, 75-year-old Samvel M., on Tigran Mets Avenue in the city of Vanadzor while driving his Opel vehicle.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the driver did not flee the scene and assisted in transporting the injured pedestrian to the Vanadzor Medical Center in an ambulance that arrived rapidly after the incident.

Officers from the second police battalion of the Road Police's fifth company, led by Company Commander Arman Sukiasyan and Squad Commander Garik Martirosyan, arrived at the site.

Senior Investigator Armen Petrosyan from the same unit oversaw the preliminary investigation at the scene, and materials are being prepared regarding the incident.
