Director of the 'Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium' Involved in Car Accident in Yerevan, Injured
The commander of the Yerevan police patrol service's traffic accident investigation and administrative proceedings division, Grigor Avetisyan, has appointed Aramazd Harutyunyan as the head of the investigative group tasked with preparing materials related to a major car accident that occurred on October 3 in Yerevan.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the accident happened around 6:10 PM at the intersection of Azatamartikneri and Ayvazovsky streets, where a KIA vehicle driven by 35-year-old Arsen Balabekyan from Yerevan collided with two Mercedes vehicles: one driven by 32-year-old Ashot Arevshatyan from Gegharkunik Province and the other by 31-year-old Sahak Taslakyan, also from Yerevan.
As a result of the accident, a passenger from Taslakyan's vehicle, 37-year-old Artyom Avinyan, sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the 'Erebuni' Medical Center.
Patrol officers from the first battalion of the Yerevan police swiftly arrived at the scene, led by Battalion Commander Aram Dadayan.
According to Shamshyan, driver Arsen Balabekyan is the director of the 'Technical Center Academy of the Football Federation of Armenia' and the director of the 'Vazgen Sargsyan Republican Stadium'. Ashot Arevshatyan is employed at the 'Kilikia' factory's 'Diakamit' branch.
