Video: Firearms and Ammunition Surrendered to Police

The personnel of the territorial subdivisions of the police continue active explanatory work aimed at encouraging the voluntary surrender of firearms and ammunition illegally held by the public.

The police report that in this context, the explanatory work of the police departments in Vagharchapat and Baghramyan has been effective. Cases of the voluntary surrender of "Kalashnikov" assault rifles and ammunition have been recorded in these subdivisions.

A case of voluntary surrender of a "Kalashnikov" assault rifle was also recorded in the police department of Vanadzor city, thanks to the explanatory efforts of the duty unit of the Lori regional police. Additionally, the explanatory work of the criminal investigators of the police department in Jermuk has also proven effective regarding the voluntary surrender of "Kalashnikov" assault rifles and ammunition. The factory-numbered assault rifle and ammunition were brought from Artsakh last year.

A case of the voluntary surrender of a "Carabin" rifle and 7.62 mm caliber bullets was also recorded due to the explanatory work of the Artashat police. As a result of the efforts of the criminal investigators of the Malatya department, a 31-year-old man turned in 334 bullets of various calibers and different firearms.

We again urge the public to voluntarily surrender illegal firearms and ammunition to avoid criminal liability.
