More than 3,000 Catholic Clergy Involved in Child Abuse in France

More than ten thousand children have fallen victim to pedophile clergy in France, as reported by AFP. An investigation by a special commission lasted more than three years. A total of 2,900 to 3,200 clergy members could be involved in the scandal, and this estimate is considered a minimum. The first victims date back to the 1950s.

Meanwhile, New York State in the United States has temporarily suspended the statute of limitations for sexual abuse claims for two years. Residents can sue churches, hospitals, schools, camps, scouting groups, and other institutions that they believe are responsible for violence against individuals, hiding pedophiles, and mistreating children.
