Serzh Sargsyan: Opposition Can Only Achieve Change This Way

The third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, assures that the opposition can organize a change of power in Armenia if they focus solely on changing the government, rather than seeking to come to power themselves. During a recent question-and-answer session at the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) conference, Sargsyan discussed this issue, as reported by the office of the third president.

“Our struggle should not be about attracting people to our side, but rather how quickly and effectively we can remove those in power. The Armenian opposition can organize a change of power if the main opposition forces set just one goal—changing the government, rather than attempting to seize power themselves,” said Sargsyan.

According to him, there is no need to think about coming to power today. This may not be encouraging for our young party members, but the interests of our country depend on this; we should not focus on it,” he added.
