Armenian Prime Minister Pashinyan Arrives in Lithuania on Official Visit
Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has arrived in the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius, on an official visit (October 3-4, Vilnius and Kaunas), at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Ingrida Šimonytė.
According to the correspondent of Armenpress, Pashinyan was welcomed at Vilnius International Airport by Lithuania's Minister of National Defence Arvydas Anušauskas. He was also greeted by Armenia's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Lithuania Armen Martirosyan, Lithuania's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Armenia Inga Stanytė-Toločkienė, and the head of the State and Diplomatic Protocol Department of Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Neilas Tankevičius, along with the diplomatic staff of the Armenian Embassy in Lithuania.
On the evening of October 3, a meeting of the Armenian Prime Minister with representatives of the Armenian community in Lithuania is planned.
During the official visit, Armenia's Prime Minister will hold high-level negotiations with the Prime Minister of Lithuania. After the negotiations, a joint press conference with Nikol Pashinyan and Ingrida Šimonytė is scheduled, where the two Prime Ministers will make statements and answer questions from media representatives.
The Prime Minister will meet with Lithuania's President Gitanas Nausėda and the Speaker of the Seimas Viktorija Cmilyte-Nielsen, and will lay a wreath at the memorial for those who fell for Lithuania's independence.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister will visit the Center for Eastern European Studies and will familiarize himself with the practices of successful Lithuanian companies.
Nikol Pashinyan will also attend a concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Armenia’s independence and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Armenian-Lithuanian diplomatic relations in the city of Kaunas.
