October 1st Proves the Meaninglessness of PCR Testing Mandates, Epidemiologist Says
October 1st has proven the meaninglessness of PCR testing mandates and the lack of epidemiological justification for them. This was stated by epidemiologist Eduard Hovhannisyan on his Facebook page.
“October 1st has proven the meaninglessness of PCR testing mandates and the lack of epidemiological justification for them. In one day, the number of tests nearly doubled, yet the number of identified cases remained unchanged. Here are the numbers from the last three days:
- 11,385 tests – 934 cases
- 7,472 tests – 1,022 cases
- 6,402 tests – 896 cases
And one more question. It turns out we have the capacity in Armenia to conduct 11,000-12,000 tests daily, but this has never been implemented to manage the outbreak, prevent a sharp increase in cases, monitor contacts, improve early detection, and ultimately prevent deaths. Instead, it was easily used as a punitive measure and a source of excessive profit. It’s a shame…”
