Mikheil Saakashvili Announces He Has a New Wife
The former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, announced his new wife in a Facebook video address. According to lenta.ru, the woman in question is Elizaveta Yaskov, a member of the Ukrainian parliament. As the politician clarified in the video, both he and the woman wish to start a family together. 'Liza and I decided to announce that we are together, we are starting a new life, a new family.'
Prior to this, Saakashvili was married to Sandra Roelofs, a Dutch citizen and former employee of the Red Cross. They have two sons: Edward, born in 1995, and Nikoloz, born in 2005.
Earlier, Saakashvili had informed his followers on social media that he had returned to Georgia and published a video address, which he claimed was filmed in Batumi. He was arrested on October 1.
