Fatal Hit-and-Run in Yerevan: Honda Strikes Woman Pedestrian Outside Daniel Varujan School, Victim Dies at Scene
Today, on October 2, a fatal hit-and-run incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 22:00, a Honda vehicle struck a pedestrian on Sebastia Street, under a pedestrian crossing in front of Daniel Varujan School.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the pedestrian died at the scene.
Emergency responders from the Yerevan patrol service arrived promptly, led by the commander of the battalion, Khachik Samvelyan, the deputy commander Andranik Isakhanyan, and the deputy commander of the third platoon Albert Hovhannisyan.
Information about the incident has been relayed to the traffic crimes investigation department of the Yerevan investigative committee, from which an investigative team arrived, headed by the deputy head of the department Samvel Samvelyan and senior investigator Gegham Galstyan, who specializes in particularly important cases.
No driver was found at the scene by the police. The police and the investigation department are working to identify the driver and the deceased.
